“It kind of gave us the opportunity to reflect on things we are going through. And just having that space to share it as a community but also share it ourselves . . . Definitely touching, and made me grieve in a deeper way . . . Just seeing how we are connected forever, in a way, without realizing.”

“It was interesting . . . to use the mirror to reflect from other mirrors, and like see nature in a different perspective.”

“I think there’s something so beautiful about sitting in silence, but all together, simultaneously. It’s just an act that so powerful because you’re in communion with one another, but you’re also all in your own path of imagining. There’s togetherness but then there’s also each person being in solidarity with themselves. Which is so beautiful, and it’s hard to find that in your life, that moment when everyone was sitting with themselves, doing something together.”

“I think holding a mirror to areas in the shade, and casting your own light, and watching other people casting light around [was the most impactful part]. It felt so different as you continued the process through the land.”

“It’s just so wonderful the way they use mirrors to show the place . . . the mirror had this view of all of us together and the background of the nature, kind of like: we are all part of this, but we tend to forget that.”

“It was making me see myself as complicit in all of these systems, but in such a tender way.”

“I really felt the enormity of this industry encapsulated in the site; I really felt like the performers worked really well at playing with that scale . . . I felt like the mirror, the circle of the mirror, had a bit of like a fisheye expansiveness to it, it was sort of this capture of holding something bigger, holding something more.”

“This piece really encourages us to see the scale of these huge forces, the huge institutions around us . . . the sky is really huge here, the trees are really big here, and how they become an invitation, the two of them, to consider these much wider things.”
